The Hollywood Park Neighborhood Garage Sale

Saturday, October 2

For the enjoyment of all, the Hollywood Park Neighborhood Garage Sale is set for Saturday, October 2nd. Tell whatever is still hiding out in closets, garages, backpacks, and golf bags to come on out. General signs will be out, but any and all who want to participate can add their own direction signs. If you would like your house listed, please send an email titled “Garage Sale” to 920sac@gmail.com. You will receive a response when the address is added to the garage sale map.

Please remember we will all need to practice safe and healthy guidelines for both ourselves and our prospective customers.

Hollywood Park Mural Final Version Reveal Event

Tuesday, September 21 | 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

4611 Freeport blvd.

Join us this Tuesday in person for the unveiling of the final mural design for 4611 Freeport (register here).

This is an opportunity to check out the FINAL DESIGN for the mural which will be going up on 4611 Freeport blvd. Lead artist, Jaya King, will describe the process behind the final design how she tied together elements inspired by community member collaboration and engagement. Jaya will also describe the next steps moving forward and how the mural will be created. This is a very exciting in-person phase in the mural project and a great opportunity to see the creative process in progress and ask questions!

Sponsored by The Office of Vice Mayor Jay Schenirer, is Movie Night in Hollywood Park!

Bring yourself and family along with folding chairs or blankets or whatever you want and sit out under the sky and watch Pixar’s new movie: Onward…for free! Popcorn provided!

Social distancing required in order to keep everyone safe.

Neighborhood Mural Design 1st Draft Unveiling

Wednesday, September 1 | 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

You can attend this Wednesday via Zoom for the unveiling of the first draft of the Hollywood Park mural design for 4611 Freeport (register here).

This is an opportunity to check out the first “rough draft” for the mural design which will be going up on 4611 Freeport blvd. Lead artist, Jaya King, will describe how she navigated finding a theme and creating a digital composition of elements that are inspired by community member collaboration and engagement. She will also describe how the design process will evolve moving forward. This is an exciting phase in the mural project because it is the “diving board” to solidifying the final design and a great opportunity to see the creative process in progress, ask questions, and offer feedback.
