Greetings Neighbors!
By now, school is out for the summer and the heat is here. I hope that you’re ready to celebrate time with friends and family during any free time that you may have this summer, including joining the HPNA for our first annual “HP Summer Fest” happening this coming Saturday, June 21 from 11-3 at Two Rivers Cider Company (4311 Attawa Avenue). We will be selling hot dogs (vegetarian option, too!)–with a discount to HPNA paying members–and Two Rivers will be selling drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic + kid drinks, to anyone who would like! Meet your neighbors, hear live music, kids can enjoy the kids’ play area, and just hang out for awhile. We will have a bike valet area for folks who are biking, too, so it’s nice and easy! While this event is free, it is helpful to us to know how many folks are coming, so please either RSVP using the QR code on the attached flyer, or reply to this email. It’s okay to show up without having RSVP’ed, too.
After Summer Fest, please join your neighbors for the Hollywood Park July 4th parade! This annual community event (not sponsored by the HPNA) will meet in the front parking lot of LdV. Please consider volunteering to help this be fun for everyone!

Also, we wanted to make you aware of a change in leadership at the South Sac Command post for the SacPD; please see the attached notice from our new Captain Jeffrey Shiraishi, who introduces new staff, including our new Lieutenant Cunningham.
SacRT is hosting a “Transit Idea Exchange” on June 25.
